Review of the Eastern and Southern Africa Higher Education Centres of Excellence
International Markets and Mobility
The study, completed in 2020, relied on three main methodologies: Review of project documentation, extensive interviews, and a student survey. The research aimed to assess program delivery and identify modifications that could help improve the program moving forward.
This work identified successes and ongoing challenges for the program, in terms of strengthening higher education institutions and the wider economies of the participating countries (Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Malawi, and Mozambique). HESA researchers also conducted further reviews of ACE programs as a result of the success of the first review.
