This report, conducted on behalf of the Canada Student Loan Program, examined the need for expanding the definition of disability to improve postsecondary access for students with a wide range of disabilities. It provided strategies for improving access for students with disabilities that are not currently targeted by the Canadian Student Loan Program. In particular, it focused on the use and categorization of permanent disability, and found examples where non-permanent disabilities were included in student aid programs.
