Rutuparna Ojha

Senior Research Associate

Rutuparna Ojha graduated from the Munk School at the University of Toronto, where she completed a Master of Global Affairs degree specializing in Innovation Policy. She also holds an MSc in Economics and is certified in Korean, to supplement her fluency in English, Hindi and Odia. As part of her capstone project, she worked as a Graduate Consultant at the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade, where she analyzed digital transformations of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province.

At HESA, Rutu’s work is focused on enhancement of credit transfer systems as well as innovation and knowledge creation by post-secondary institutions in the country. Rutu brings a mix of quantitative and quantitative research skills to HESA, based on both her academic education and prior work experience. She has prior experience of client consulting and onboarding. She is also comfortable with highly-technical projects, having previously worked collaboratively with IT teams to enhance production and financial management systems tailored to the needs of businesses in the Creative and Handmade Manufacturing sector – the world’s second-largest employer after agriculture.
